Grown in Kiambu County at 1,800 meters, this coffee comes from the Gichuka Coffee Factory, part of the Kimaratia Farmers’ Cooperative Society. Smallholder farmers deliver handpicked cherries, which are carefully pulped, fermented overnight, washed, and sun-dried on raised beds. Rich red volcanic soils and high-altitude conditions allow for slow cherry maturation, enhancing complexity and flavor. The factory combines traditional methods with modern equipment and sustainable water practices, producing consistently high-quality coffee while supporting its local farming community.
