Costa Rica - El Bosque

Alto El Vapor is a family-run micro-mill in Santa María de Dota, Costa Rica, founded in 2020 by Mayra Solis and her children after generations of coffee farming. Seeking to add value beyond selling cherries, they began processing and roasting their own coffee. Grown at 1,800–2,100 meters, the farm benefits from cool mountain climates and misty highlands that inspire its name. Nearly 90% of the land is preserved as natural forest, protecting biodiversity and a local water source. Alongside coffee, the family grows other crops to support a diverse, sustainable farm. Their work reflects dedication to quality, sustainability, and sharing traceable Costa Rican coffee with the world.
